The John Olin is a variant of the Olin Black & Gold which was devised by Paul LeBlanc in 1984. It was originally tied in the Sainte-Margeurite river in Quebec but is now associated with the Grand Cascapedia. Originally designed for Atlantic Salmon on the East Coast of the United States it is equally effective as a Steelhead fly pattern.
