The Apache Shrimp Salmon Fly was created by Irish fly dresser Albert Aktins. Albert owns and runs a tackle shop in Garvagh and is well known right across Ireland. After using the Apache Shrimp with considerable success he was good enough to share the pattern and it is now a staple Irish Shrimp Fly that has become a firm favourite in Ireland.
