Collie Dog

The Collie Dog preceeded the now more widely used Sunray Shadow.  With the long black hair being readily available from shephard's Collie Dog sheepdogs it was extremely easy to make when compared to the Classic Salmon Fly patterns...which it went on to outfish!   An excellent fly in every format, whether it be on a tube or on a double hook.
